Semi-final was finished. Two teams Sri Lanka and Australia will fight in final match in Kensington oval. Final match is going to start on 28th April. Now gamblers are busy to play gamble with their chosen team. The million dollar question is that who will be champion, Sri Lanka or Australia. Both teams are hard. So, it is difficult to say who will get world cup cricket trophy-2007. Ahead of world cup final, whole world will divided into two groups. One group will give support in Sri Lanka and another group will give support in Australia. Sri Lanka is South Asian team so, every South Asian country will give them support and prey for them as they can get trophy. But is it possible? As Australia is their opposite team and who didn’t lose any game in this world cup. Australia is a team who has won twenty-two matches in world cup continuously. It’s a great record for a team. So, Sri Lanka has to fight with Australia.
I would like to bet on Sri Lanka as I am a South Asian. But this is not the main reason. Sri Lanka is a balanced team in this world cup. They have good bating line up and almost all of their front line batsmen are in form. Jayasuriya is an opening batsman in Sri Lanka team and he is also a top listed batsman. He is standing third position by taking more runs. He took retirement from cricket in 2006. But Sri Lankan cricket board bound to recall him for his all rounder performance in world cup. Malinga Sri Lankan fast bowler is another successful bowler. He is star attraction of this world cup. Because, he is the only one bowler who has got hattrick against South Africa. World famous spin bowler Muralitharan is in form. He got four wickets against New Zealand. So, Australian batsmen should think about Muralithan’s spin magic. Vass is the bowler who can destroy any team’s bating line up. Wicket keeper cum batsman Sangakara is playing well in every match and he is determined to play well in final. Sri Lanka team is hard in fielding side. Dilshan, Tharanga, Jayawendene, C Silva are showing their best fielding of the whole world. At last we can say Sri Lanka team has possibility to get world cup trophy if God will help them.
Australia is a hot favorite team. They are dominating the cricket world. No one could stay against them. So, obviously they are hard team and they have possibility to get world cup. They are playing well in all three departments. The whole world is astonished to see their fielding. Australian opening partnership Matthew Hayden and Gilchrist are now in form. Gilchrist is well known for his aggressive hitting. And when it is happen then the opposite bowlers have noting to do except seeing. As well as Australian bowling side is hard. And McGrath is now in form by taking twenty-two wickets. Shaun Tait in the place of Breet Lee is doing his job well. In semi-final South Africa saw his bowling and sacrificed their wicket.
As two teams is equal in their power so, it will be difficult to say who will get world cup cricket trophy. I described about these two teams as you can realize who has possibility to get world cup.
