Twenty20 World Championship 2007: Details about group-A

First time Twenty20 world championship is going to be held in South Africa. Only more four days is left to start the Twenty20 world championship 2007.
Twenty20 world championship will start 11 Sep to till 24th Sep. Twelve countries are going to take participate in this new format world cup in four groups. Each group consists with three teams. Host team South Africa is in A-group along with West Indies and Bangladesh. Each team is strong and has possibility to play in second round. But two teams can get chance to play in second round in each group. Each team has two strong and one weak team but Group-A is different than others as three teams are strong in all side. And Twenty20 is a match where anyone can win. So, there is no doubt that group-A is becoming “Group of death” because of Bangladesh team.
South Africa is the host team in the inaugural Twenty20 world championship 2007. And being host country obviously they will get some benefit in their home condition. As South Africa will play in their home ground and get more support so, this team has possibility to do well in Twenty20 and should be strong competitors against every team. South Africa team is famous for their aggressive batting. Herschelle Gibbs, Justin Kemp, Shaun Pollock and Graeme Smith are most famous for big hitting and they know how to change the game and make it for their favor.
West Indies who got world cup two times, they are also in a superb form after getting win against England in England soil. West Indian batsman Sarwan also come back in this squad along with Collymore from injury. But this is true that West Indies has lost their previous glory. And fans of West Indies team saw a different team who has forget how to get win against opposite team. It is amazing that West Indies team is lacking of good bowlers. And still we didn’t see any good spinner in West Indies team.
However, Bangladesh team is improving day by day. And they are raising their position step by step. In ICC world cup championship, whole world had been astonished to see Bangladesh’s performance against South Africa in super eight round and India in first round. Now, Bangladeshi players are optimistic to do well and hope to see another win in Twenty20 world cup what will help to reach in second round.
Bangladesh team has some new batsmen. They are not like South African batsmen but they are well. Young stars are Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Nazimuddin, Aftab Ahmed and Mohammad Ashraful etc.
